AG vs FG: which soleplate do you need?

Short answer: FG for natural grass, AG for artificial grass. If you play on both, an MG soleplate is the best compromise.

FG (Firm Ground) has longer, firmer studs for grip on natural grass.

AG (Artificial Ground) has shorter, hollow studs. MG (Multi Ground) sits in between.
